Sail Tomini Held September 2015

After a long wait, finally Sail Tomini 2015 International event still held in September. The plan was held in Sulawesi region.

The inauguration was held Sail Tomini 2015 conveyed by Coordinating Minister of Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Puan Maharani while leading the Coordination Meeting (Rakor) ministerial level to discuss the preparation of Sail Tomini 2015 in the office of Ministry for PMK.

Coordination meeting attended by Coordinating Minister for maritime Indroyono Susilo, the minister Tejo Eddy, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Arief Yahya, and the Governor of Central Sulawesi Longki Djanggola discussing matters relating to the preparation of Sail Tomini 2015. Among the discussion of the logo, theme and schedule of administration.

In his speech, the Coordinating Minister for PMK advised that the agenda of Sail 2015 Tomini not change because it is related to the direction of the wind that blows in the region.

"The highlight of today's Sail Tomini 2015 there should be no change and remains held on 19 September 2015," said the Minister of PMK, Puan Maharani, Wednesday (01/21/2015).

In connection with the logo which is used, Puan claimed should highlight the peculiarities of the region. "If for Sail Tomini I guess Yag more fitting is to use the logo Phinisi boats with colorful screen," he explained.

Selection of the logo, the Coordinating Minister for PMK further not just choose because phinisi boat is a traditional boat Sulawesi which has been acclaimed as one of Indonesia's cultural heritage.

On this occasion, the Coordinating Minister for PMK reiterated that the purpose of Sail Tomini 2015 is to accelerate the development of disadvantaged areas, suburban, and islands.

"Sail Tomini distinasi 2015 while promoting tourism in Central Sulawesi region to the international community, the goal is more important is to strengthen the glory of Indonesia as a maritime nation who live in island countries," he said.

Previously, this Sail program has been held for six consecutive times every year since 2009. Starting from the Sail Bunaken, Sail Banda, Sail Wakatobi, Belitong Sail, Sail Morotai, Sail Komodo, Raja Ampat and Sail.
